FYI I got knocked off the Mt Eden exchange a week ago. It took 3
technicans and 4 calls to the Xtra call center to get them to believe
that it wasn't a wiring problem on my end. In the end someone had to
physically switch my port at the exchange.
I was on dialup for three weeks. Three weeks I tell you! It was torture.

If this does happen, no one on the Mt Eden exchange will be able to get ADSL unless someone disconnects. It happens in other countries especially when there is high demand. But I don't not how efficient Telecom is at preventing this and acting quickly when it happens.
