I actually had the impression that DSL has been 'done to death' (at least the breed we currently run) and that the technology is pretty well known and supported by the ISPs offering it. Also, the media has (from my point of view) smartened up on broadband issues over the last few years. Interestingly I still see people accessing both http://www.blakjak.net/adsl/ and http://www.blakjak.net/DSL which were largely created due to traffic on this list, back in the day where supporting DSL customers was a large portion of my work. Question for you Dan: will the web archive remain extant? - Mark. Only if you run it on Majordomo and refuse to accept that things can be improved when people suggest that there may be problems with the way majordomo works ;-) On a more serious note tho, the list archives - we really should preserve those, I mean, how else are people going to find out what an a** I am :-) - Craigs DSL website seems to logical place for those is Craig is willing. -- Steve. ------------------------------ Message: 9 Date: Thu, 27 Sep 2007 16:00:51 +1200 From: "Brian Gibbons" <brian@outersite.co.nz> Subject: Re: [adsl] shutting down the list To: "Steve Phillips" <steve@focb.co.nz>, <adsl@lists.unixathome.org> Message-ID: <958f01c800ba$fea89fc0$0175a8c0@ARTHUR> Content-Type: text/plain; charset="iso-8859-1" >From: "Steve Phillips" <steve@focb.co.nz> > On a more serious note tho, the list archives - we really should > preserve those, I mean, how else are people going to find out what an > a** I am :-) - Craigs DSL website seems to logical place for those is > Craig is willing.
