Hi David,

Where are you based? We are in Christchurh and last week we had Saturn cable
installed for phone/CATV (connection cost for this is free). The possibility
of a broadband cable connection was one of the main reason I decided to
switch over to Saturn. However, both the Saturn Salesman and cable installer
informed me that they are not yet ready to fully support residential
Broadband connections (allthough I hear there are beta testers around). I
tried to convince the cable installer to run a second coax cable / jackpoint
close to my 100MHz switch so all I needed was the cable modem (but no - I
guess they don't want to give that part away for nothing ;<) Are you
renting the cable modem from Saturn? [Looks like the Motorola SB3100 is
DOCSIS compliant] I understand Saturn initially deployed propriatary Com21
ComPort modems in Wellington but are intending to use DOCIS compliant modems
in Christchurh.
