I should have said I am doing this under OS X, but I figured that it was all to be done on the router so my OS would be irrelevant.
I'll see what I can find out about the DMZ (demilitarized zone?) and if I can assign my computer to that section rather than just the regular 192.168.0.00X set. If you know of how to do this on the dsl504 then I'd appreciate the advice, if not then I'll look into it when I have the router infront of me.
