Hey all,
Slightly OT here but better then the ADSL list... Anyone know anywhere to get Cat6 keystone jacks at a decent price in Auckland, e.g. under $8incGST? I can get a dual Cat5e surface mount box with keystone jacks for $9.50 at Surplus (well think it's 5e, have to check) but CablesDirect and Jaycar are some of the few places I can find Cat6 stuff but at CablesD it comes out to $11.25incGST for one jack, when you add together the wall mounting boxes and face plates, it's about 3x the price... Doesn't seem worth it considering even gigabitE doesn't need cat6 and I am not even using that yet...
At least the cable isn't so bad though. ACtechnologies have it for $0.98c+GST /m. Cat6 patch leads aren't too expensive either at CablesDirect. Anyone know anywhere else to get them?
It only seems to be the jacks that are excessive altho if you bought the standard face plates and mounting boxes and added Cat5e jacks it's not so bad I suppose...
Thanks all
